Dr. Ricardo A. Nieves - MD, FAAPMR, FAANEM, FIPP, FAADEP, DABIPP - Fort Collins, CO - Greeley, CO - Cheyenne, WY“As a teenager and college student competing nationally and internationally in judo, I sustained a few injuries. This exposed me to physical medicine and rehabilitation and other aspects of sports medicine, and I became interested. It was the spark that made me want to help people… and to do it with a real passion for excellence. This passion and commitment are why I worked hard — and continue to work hard — to have a rich diversity of skill and know-how to provide meaningful relief and lasting results.

“After more than 15 years’ experience and having helped tens of thousands have a higher quality of life, I am pleased to have these capabilities. But I also know that dedication, focus and truly individualized care are every bit as important to getting you out of pain and getting you back to the game of life.”

An outstanding athlete, Dr. Nieves represented his native Puerto Rico in competitive judo, winning many awards. He currently is a team physician for USA Judo, was a volunteer physician for the US Olympic Training Center and was a member of the Olympic Trials medical staff in 2000, 2004 and 2008.
